Lifting Half the Sky
10 Inspiring Journeys of Singapore's Top Women Entrepreneurs
Lifting Half The Sky celebrates the achievements and contributions of 13 special Singaporean women. From sustainability to tech, from healthcare to construction, they are all standard-bearers in their industries. But their journeys to the top did not come easy.
For them, reaching the pinnacle – sometimes in male-dominated environments – required a whole lot of dedication and tenacity. There have been sacrifices and failures along the way.
In essence, their stories are a reflection of a wider trend that women entrepreneurs face in the world today. For many, success comes much harder, thanks to their multifaceted roles in juggling both work and family. They may be industry leaders, but they are also mothers, wives and daughters. This book, which commemorates International Women’s Day 2023, details the difficulties, commemorates the accomplishments and charts the journey of these women. All in the hope that it will inspire the next generation and beyond.
The publication will be launched at ECF Charity Gala Dinner on 8 March 2023.
